Progress at Zurrieq FC pitch
Finally everyone’s dream is nearing completion, the fencing is nearly done and the synthetic turf is to be laid next week. Most of the floodlighting system is already in place and thus we can say that progress on the pitch is at its final stages. Pictures will be uploaded shortly. Thanks go to the Malta Football Association, the Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport and to the Good Causes Fund in particular, and to all those who gave a helping hand. Donations at this stage are of utmost importance and so we urge you to be generous.
Good performance in 1-1 draw against Mqabba
A friendly against Mqabba proved to be very useful for our team not only to give our players the much needed match practice after the long summer recess but also to judge the players which are currently on trial with the club. Mqabba took an early lead but a Daniel Zammit goal following a good job on the left flank by Joseph Lia secured a deserved draw for Zurrieq. Zurrieq’s next commitments are in the Mosta Tournament.
